Terms of Service

These terms of service set out the conditions for using the Colour Detective mobile application ("App"), developed and operated by Ad Modern Tanitim Medya Organizasyon Ltd. Sti. ("Company"). By downloading and using the App, you agree to these terms.

1. Service Description

Colour Detective is a free, ad-supported mobile application that provides real-time color detection, color code conversion, paint matching, and color palette creation services using your device's camera.

2. License

You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use this App for personal and non-commercial purposes. This license:

• Does not grant the right to copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Does not grant the right to reverse engineer the App
• Does not grant the right to sublicense the App

3. Color Accuracy

Important: Color information provided by the App is approximate and accuracy is not guaranteed.

• Colors read by the camera may vary depending on ambient light, camera quality, and surface properties
• PANTONE, RAL, and NCS color matches are unofficial approximate matches with no partnership or licensing relationship with these organizations
• Paint brand matches are for reference purposes only and do not carry official brand endorsement
• Color blindness simulations are for educational purposes and cannot be used for medical diagnosis
• WCAG contrast calculations are for informational purposes only

4. Brand References

Brands referenced within the App (including but not limited to PANTONE, RAL, NCS, Tailwind CSS, Material Design, and paint brands) are registered trademarks of their respective owners. Colour Detective and Ad Modern Tanitim Medya Organizasyon Ltd. Sti. have no official partnership, license, or endorsement relationship with these brands. Brand names are used solely for informational and approximate color matching reference purposes.

5. Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob, including interstitial and rewarded video formats. Details regarding AdMob's data processing are described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Daily Usage Limit

The App offers a set number of free color captures per day. When your daily allowance is used up, you can earn additional captures by watching rewarded video ads. Daily allowances reset each day.

7. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." The Company:

• Does not guarantee that the App will operate without interruption or error
• Does not guarantee the accuracy of color matches
• Cannot be held liable for purchases made based on App results
• Cannot be held liable for direct or indirect damages arising from use of the App
• Is not responsible for decisions made by users based on App results

8. User Responsibility

As a user:

• You are responsible for the security of data stored locally on your device
• It is recommended that you verify color matches with independent sources for professional projects
• It is recommended that you obtain a sample card from the relevant paint store before purchasing paint
• You agree to use the App in compliance with applicable laws

9. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, source code, algorithms, and original content are protected by the intellectual property rights of Ad Modern Tanitim Medya Organizasyon Ltd. Sti. Unauthorized copying, distribution, or modification of any part of the App is prohibited.

10. Changes

These terms of service may be updated from time to time. Users will be informed of significant changes. It is the user's responsibility to follow the current terms.

11. Termination

If you violate these terms, your license will automatically terminate. You may end your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it.

12. Governing Law

These terms are subject to the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Disputes shall first be submitted to mediation, and if mediation fails, to the courts of the Republic of Turkey.
